This is a restaurant that Perla's mom used to take her to when she was growing up. Christopher loved it on his first visit to San Juan del Rio. Chris and Perla recommend the hamburgers

This is a taco place close to the hotel within walking distance; Chris has eaten there and he enjoys seeing the Taquero cutting the meat.
RESTAURANTE: Cenaduria Doña Mary
This place is located in downtown San Juan, Perla's mom used to have a hair salon close by and Perla and her family used to have dinner there frequently. This is Mexican food that you can't miss. Chris likes the Pozole with tostadas and Perla likes the tacos dorados de carne.

Perlas's friend owns this restaurant; please enjoy delicious pizzas and pastas.
Peña de Bernal
If you are in the mood for hiking or exploring, Peña de Bernal is an hour away from San Juan del Rio.
Tequisquiapan
This city is located at 30 min by car from San Juan del Rio and has nice restaurants and shops.
San Miguel de Allende
San Miguel de Allende is a beautiful city that you won't regret visiting, with lots of nice restaurants and colonial structures.
San Juan Teotihuacán
If you are planning to stay in Mexico City for a couple of days don't forget to visit the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon at Teotihuacan, Chris loves this place. Don't forget your sunscreen.
