Currently, we are expecting all of our wedding activities to be held outdoors (or indoors with windows open). We have intentionally limited our wedding to a small family group to reduce the chance of transmission, and will ask that attendees follow social distancing for the 10 days preceding our wedding. We want to ensure every is comfortable and safe attending our wedding, but completely understand if people make the decision to stay home. If vaccines have be distributed to the general public by July, we will be eager to be closer to our family and will look to follow the prevailing guidance at that time.
An adventure wedding is an elopement or intimate wedding in a beautiful location that incorporates as much fun an adventure as possible! We chose to do an adventure wedding because of our love of the outdoors and exploring, and our wish to share our passions with those we love most on our wedding day.
Adventure weddings are unique and non-traditional. We have chosen to do a sunrise hike in the morning to exchange our wedding vows between just the two of us, then would like to have a more formal ceremony in the evening with our families present. Afterwards, we'll all celebrate over dinner and drinks. The rest of the time will be spent enjoying the outdoors!
You should primarily be prepared to have fun! We want our wedding to be a weekend when our two families can come together as one to celebrate. We'll be planning optional activities before and after the wedding that may include getting in the water and hiking, so please bring appropriate clothing if you will be interested in joining.
Please check our Schedule page for more information. We are planning optional activities for the days before and after the wedding if you would like to join. The Blue River and Breckenridge areas have many adventures to offer, so we invite you to explore what you would like to do. Activities to choose from include hiking, golfing, fly fishing, trail rides, among many others!
Because our wedding ceremony will be outdoors and intimate, we are just asking our family to come as they are.
