Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

We will be getting married in Liberty, Missouri. The ceremony and reception will be held at the same venue. Cakewalk Chapel & Event Space Liberty 121 W Kansas St, Liberty MO 64068 *please note: There is another CakeWalk event location on McGee street. Please make sure to type in the above address or double check you’ve selected the right location before you get your GPS running!

Will there be parking available?

Answer

Yes, parking is free to you and is directly across the street from the venue. There is also free street parking a few blocks up. We encourage you to use the provided parking lot! Please feel free to uber as we will have an open bar!

Is there a hotel block or recommended accommodations?

Answer

We have a hotel block, please see the Travel/Accommodations section of our website. This section also features alternative affordable hotels in the area. We recommend booking early due to availability.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will be entirely indoors. You may consider bringing an umbrella or jacket if you wish to step outside to smoke or in case there is rain!

What is the closest airport?

Answer

If you are flying, we recommend flying into Kansas City International Airport. It is the closest airport (30 mins) to the venue and surrounding hotels.

How far is the venue from the hotels?

Answer

The venue is approximately 3 minutes from the hotel with a room block. The other hotels are about 5-10 minutes away.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Please dress in polished attire! Pinks, florals & greens are encouraged but not required! No white or loungewear but jeans are ok!

Are children invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration unless specifically noted on your invitation.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

As we are having an intimate wedding, guests are invited by name only. If your invitation includes a plus-one, their name will be listed on the envelope containing your save the date and invitation. We can not accommodate any unexpected guests.

What time does the reception end?

Answer

The reception will end at 9:30 pm. Please see the schedule page for more information!

Is there assigned seating?

Answer

No! Our wedding is a cocktail style and will be casual. Mix, mingle and chat. Stand or sit, doesn’t matter to us!

What should we know about the reception?

Answer

The evening will include a family friendly “cocktail” hour, buffet style dinner, cake cutting, dancing/celebration following the ceremony.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes! We will have an open bar including beer, wine and limited signature cocktails.

What type of food will be served?

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will be unplugged so we can be fully present and our photographer can work her magic.

When do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP via the website no later than Feb 1st 2027. The ability to RSVP will unlock on our website when you receive the formal invitation.
