Amos-I thought she was funny, easy to talk to, and cute. Emma laughed at my dumb jokes and she cracked herself up when she changed my ringtone in her phone to the chewbacca roar, which it still is today. Emma-I thought he was a huge dork, but a cute dork. I traded notes with him when he slept in class, and secretly loved helping him on homework. He was always so kind to me, but also loved to tease me. I told him once, before I started to like him, I had a small crush on this guy at church and he wrote this page long note about out how my crush should treat me right. Though meant for another guy it meant the absolute world to me.
The date started out with me picking her up in my dad's 1996 Dodge Ram (complete with a mismatching door and a low rumbling noise that happened every time I drove over 60mph). I remember for the first time in my life being so nervous I couldn't even touch my food. I could feel myself slowly falling in love with her as we attempted to make awkward small talk, walked the streets of the Denton Square arm-in-arm, and sang together to the radio on the way back to her house. When I came back to my house I remember two things: 1) I was so worried she wouldn't agree to go another date because I awkwardly told her she was, and I quote, "cuter than any cat or dog" and 2) I told my mom, even though it had only been one date, that I could see myself marrying this girl. -Amos
