We got married on June 6th, 2020 surrounded by our families! We made the difficult decision to cancel our Celebration Party due to the coronavirus outbreak. Love, Sarah & Eric
I knew I was going to marry Sarah within the first 2 months of knowing her. I had it in my mind, though, that I should wait until I had everything in my life the way I wanted it so that I could offer her the best life possible. Fast forward two years and I realized that I could go on forever thinking things weren’t just right and that no time would be the “perfect” time to propose. I knew we were meant to be together and didn’t want to wait anymore. On our two year anniversary I decided to propose. It was so impulsive that I didn’t yet have a ring, but I knew it would be more fun to have Sarah involved anyway. After going out to eat at Rosati's in Oconomowoc (the location of our first date), I decided to feel out the topic and began a long monologue so confusing that afterwards Sarah looked at me and said, “Are you proposing to me?” We both laughed about it, and to make it clear I got down on one knee and asked if she would be my wife. She said yes, and we are both looking forward to sharing the rest of our lives with each other.
We met online (match dot com to be exact). We talked online for one day and we knew we had to meet. So we arranged to meet at Starbucks in Oconomowoc. Eric arrived first and I remember walking into Starbucks and seeing him waiting! He smiled and that was it! LOL. We ordered coffee and sat outside! We talked and laughed and decided we would go out to dinner to continue to get to know each other better. We went to Rosati's in Oconomowoc and enjoyed a few drinks and pasta. We had such a great time and more laughs that we decided to stay out a bit later and we just relaxed and talked and talked until 1 in the morning!
