Toolbox is down an alleyway from the main road, so use the address listed in the schedule for any rideshares or Google-mapping. We'll have a sign to guide you to the door!

Toolbox is a rather industrial space with lots of brick, polished wood, and string lights, so we're encouraging you to go bold and take up space with fun colors, prints, and styles you've been waiting to wear all year. If an outfit looks better without a tie, ditch it. If your outfit can only be completely with a cape, DO IT. 2021 is all about feeling like yourself again. Note: The central feature of this venue? STAIRS. Stairs that may stand between you and two of the bathrooms after a long night of dancing. So wear your chicest outfit, but consider your feet! Don't let your signature stilettos keep you from the signature cocktails
Parking is REALLY limited due to the location. Our venue is around the corner from the Dupont Circle metro stop (Q St exit), and easily accessible by rideshare service, which also allows guests to fully enjoy the party without worrying about parking tickets
We know that this is a destination event - and a trip with a quick turnaround - for a majority of our guests. So rather than bring a suitcase that's bigger than you really need, pick your preferred gift off the registry and use the “send by mail” option! Don't worry if it arrives after the wedding, it'll make for a nice surprise after everything settles down.
We'll be having the entire event - wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, reception dinner, and reception party - at Toolbox Art Studio, transforming both floors of the space as needed throughout the night
We've put together a family-style menu that reflects the foods that we've enjoyed during our time together here in DC, so our hope is that you'll get to have a little bit of everything at our reception. Your RSVP form should capture any dietary restrictions, so make sure to be explicit so we can inform the catering staff
Only if we secretly hated our guests and wanted to let them know in the most passive-aggressive way possible
Hitting the dance floor at the reception is the best gift you can give to the groom, who has spent the year-plus since popping the question meticulously plotting the playlists for each phase of the event. We've opted to go without a DJ to maintain the integrity of that effort. The bride thanks you in advance for your memorable contributions to the wedding album.
