This is a big festival that is happening the weekend of the wedding in downtown Brevard. This area will have a parade on Saturday morning, live music, food vendors, and all sorts of other things happening. Check out their website for more info! This festival is happening very close to our venue so please get your hotel rooms booked soon!
If it is warm enough, this is a 60 ft long rock that is used by locals as a natural water slide. This water slide is near to other waterfalls in the Pisgah Forest. We would suggest driving the Forest Heritage Scenic Byway and checking out Looking Glass Falls, Looking Glass Rock, Daniel Ridge Falls, and the Pink Beds Trail (a hiking trail and picnic area). There is so much natural beauty to see in this area it could take half a day to check it all out.
This place has a phenomenal view of the mountains!
There is a 499 step Outcroppings trail to the Chimney Rock where there is a view of the surrounding mountains or if you aren't feeling a hike there is an elevator. There is also a deck area (with a little gift shop) that overlooks the park if you aren't feeling the hike or the elevator ride. Also within this park is Hickory Nut Falls if you want to see a waterfall.
This is a cute small town about 20 minutes out from Brevard. This area has a golf course at the Lake Toxaway Country Club and the Greystone Inn has recently reopened so there are places to stay on the lake. This This town has all the small town charm and shops that a person could need not to mention places to rent kayaks and canoes to play on the lake.
This is another small town not far from Lake Toxaway. It is a popular vacation spot for visitors in the summer with it's the picturesque small town feel with all its shops and local places to eat. Check out the website for more info!
This Biltmore House is a giant mansion owned by George Washington Vanderbilt II. It is the largest privately owned house in the United States. It is gorgeous and it's gardens are beautiful in the spring. Incidently, Noah proposed to me at the Biltmore House in November so it holds a special place in our hearts and it is a cool stop for anyone who hasn't been.
Carl Sandburg was an American writer and poet in the 1900s. He won multiple Pulitzer prizes. His house is now a museum that you can walk through.
