Maid of Honor
Alyssa and Elizabeth have been best friends since their sophomore year of high school, and spent countless hours trying (and failing) to stay out of trouble between color guard practice, dance class, and surviving AP English. They spent college years together at UW-Eau Claire, where they spent at least some time studying but also loved floating down the Chippewa River every summer. Since their college days, Elizabeth and Alyssa have shared a love of travel, and have taken trips to New Orleans, Budapest, Bogota, and the US Virgin Islands. When John proposed, in true best friend fashion, Alyssa was there to take pictures and buy them champagne and pie to celebrate.
Best Man
David and John go way back, having met in the womb (as identical twins do!) They moved several times growing up, and eventually attended college together at Truman State University. David has been there for John through many pivotal moments in his life, both good and bad. The good includes the sand volleyball championship they won their Junior year of college, and the bad includes when John tore his ACL in a basketball game going up for a vicious slam dunk (video not available for proof). Currently, David is married to his lovely wife Anna, they have two sons, Sam and Luke, and he is attending law school at Mitchell-Hamline in St.Paul.
Bridesmaid
Elizabeth trained Tiffaney on her first day working in the Oakwood Mall Macy's Junior's department. Their friendship moved beyond work as they shared a cocktail or two on Water Street, and they kept in touch and visited one another after Elizabeth moved to the Twin Cities for graduate school. Tiffaney began her own grad school journey at the University of Minnesota 2 years later, and she and Elizabeth have been eating sushi, shopping for Le Creuset cookware, and brunch-ing their way through the state ever since!
Groomsman
Justin and John started their friendship on their first day of work at Toshiba in late 2015, a company they also left on the same day after becoming good friends. Celebrating the ups and commiserating over the downs of life, both personal and professional, brought them closer together over the last 5 years. They have bonded over several good drinks and good meals, creating lots of great memories over the years. Justin is one of the most generous and charismatic people John has met since his move to Minnesota, and he currently is the General Manager of the Bar Harbor Supper Club.
Bridesmaid
Cat and Elizabeth met as Executive Team Leaders at Target, and bonded over their love of Corgis, food, mimosas, and The Office. After leaving Target and discovering how wonderful life can be when you no longer work retail, Cat and Elizabeth have continued to obsess over dogs of all kinds and explore restaurants and breweries around the Twin Cities. When Elizabeth and John started dating, Cat and her boyfriend Alex were the first friends to meet him and give their stamp of approval.
Groomsman
Alex and Elizabeth met as coworkers, working together at Target for exactly two weeks before Elizabeth left to finish training at another store and Alex left Target altogether. Alex and John met about a month after he and Elizabeth started dating, at her birthday dinner, when John passed the "friend's approval test" with flying colors. Alex and John share a love of short-sleeved button down shirts, beer, whiskey, and dry humor. Alex is the General Manager of Fairgrounds Coffee in Minneapolis, and lives in St. Paul with fellow wedding party member Catalina and their two dogs, Ernie and Oreo.
Bridesmaid
Briana and Elizabeth met through her husband Erik, who worked with Elizabeth as a fellow ETL-AP at Target. Erik and Briana let Elizabeth be the third wheel on tons of trips to breweries and dinners at food trucks, and even let her crash their 4th of July trips to their cabin. Briana makes, without question, the finest pulled pork ever to grace someone's taste buds (though when asked to cater it for the wedding she politely declined!) Briana also has the best laugh, and is the best paddle board buddy a girl could ask for.
Groomsman
Elizabeth was lucky enough to meet Erik while working as an Assets Protection leader at Target. Erik is a wonderful and dependable friend, and only sometimes hates being “the guy with the pickup truck” who has had to help Elizabeth move in and out of multiple apartments. John and Elizabeth quickly became “couple friends” with Erik and his wife Briana. Erik and John share a love of different beers and fun events. Erik is one of the most positive people John knows and is grateful every 4th of July when Erik allows us to come up to his cabin for a yearly celebration out on the lake. Erik is now co-workers with Elizabeth once again at Capella University.
Usher
Alex is Elizabeth's "middle" brother, and shares his sister's love of pizza, whiskey, and the ocean. Alex has all the musical talent that Elizabeth does not, and is also a gifted artist. He loves cars, fishing, and the outdoors and makes fantastic pasta. Alex currently attends UW-Stevens Point and is majoring in Business.
Usher
Scott is Elizabeth's baby brother, and though she cried the day he was born (because he wasn't the sister she desperately wanted!) he's forgiven her for the less-than-warm welcome. Scott is fond of anything sports-related, is a huge fan of Lebron James, and loves animals and traveling. Scott is attending UW-Milwaukee and majoring in Marketing.
