Noland and I met while I was on a work trip to Kansas, it just so happen to be on Cinco de Mayo so we went out for drinks. During my week long work trip we went on a date every night. He even came and rescued me when I had a car accident while in Kansas. When it was time for me to leave, i just felt it would not be the last time I saw him. Traveling back and forth from North Carolina to Kansas became our norm. Our long distance relationship continued for months, and on a trip to New Orleans, we officially became a couple. So I am happy to say that five years later I am marrying my best supporter, my best friend and the best puppy dad ever.
The Best Surprise Ever! We were attending the annual 4th of July celebration at the grandmother’s farm in southern Virginia, when Noland proposed. The weather was not the best, it was raining and it put a damper on the outdoor festivities. Later that day, the rain stopped for a moment, I turned to face the river and there Noland was with his hand reached out to me asking me to join him, with all my family present. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, I couldn't stop crying but through the tears " I said YES!" The rain finally stopped and we partied the night away...with fireworks!
We can not wait to celebrate our love with family and friends! Please stay safe and healthy this year !
