Their story began while playing co-ed kickball at Peacock Park in the Grove, where a simple game turned into an unexpected friendship. Over time, that friendship grew, and Ethan asked Sydney to join him at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival. They spent the day admiring art, then wandered into a bar and talked for hours, completely unaware of how much time had passed. Without realizing it, they had just shared something pretty special. Not long after, Ethan asked Sydney out on their official first date: dinner at Bombay Darbar followed by a movie where they both cried (yes, both of them). From that night on, it was clear that what started as a friendship had turned into something lasting. They have been together ever since, and now they’re ready to take on their next chapter together. It felt only fitting to celebrate their wedding in Coconut Grove—the place where it all began. From kickball games at Peacock Park to art-filled afternoons and conversations that stretched late into the night, Coconut Grove holds the memories of their earliest moments together. Returning to the Grove to say “I do” is their way of honoring the place that brought them together and the beginning of everything that followed.
