Our story starts in 2016, when Emily - while enjoying a glass of wine or two - created an online dating profile. That same night, a few swipes later, Evan & Emily were a match. ...and then Emily woke up the next day, panicked, and deleted the dating app all together - without ever exchanging phone numbers with Evan. And that was it. Until we fast forward to a year and a half later on May 5th, 2018. Serendipity worked its magic, and Emily & Evan end up on the same rooftop in Washington DC. Evan recognized Emily from that dating app back in 2016 and delivered his smoothest line to date: "I missed a chance with you once, I can't let it happen again. Can I please have your number?" Numbers were exchanged, and Emily left with friends to head to a club in the city. When she told Evan to join her, he grabbed his wingman and now Best Man, Nick Colabucci, and took off for the same club. Once at the front of the line, the bouncer refused entry for Nick because he was wearing shorts. Just as the bouncer was laying down his iron fist, Evan's other friend, Sean, just so happened to be walking out of the club - wearing pants. Evan saw his opportunity, and explained to Nick and Sean that there was a woman he needed to see inside - and begged Sean to give Nick his pants so they could get past the bouncer. In the name of love and friendship, Nick & Sean agreed and exchanged pants, right there on the spot. With Nick up to dress code, Evan came in to meet Emily and they've been together ever since. With a little serendipity and an awesome wingman, we finally found our happily ever after.
