Man of Honor
Born on August 7, 1935, on the lush Caribbean island of Montserrat, Percival Seymour Taylor, affectionately known as Percy, has lived a life as rich and spirited as the islands he calls home. Though Montserrat was his birthplace, Percy’s roots took hold and flourished in Antigua, where he spent his formative years. From a young age, Percy was known for his charisma, humor, and love of good company. He carried these traits into adulthood, eventually channeling them into one of his proudest accomplishments — Percy's Bus Stop, a beloved restaurant and bar that became a cultural landmark for locals and travelers alike. With its inviting atmosphere, delicious food, and Percy's infectious laughter echoing through the space, it quickly became more than just a business; it was a gathering place, a second home for many. Over the decades, Percy has worn many hats — entrepreneur, host, and most importantly, husband and father to four children. His family remains central in his life, and his legacy is woven into both the lives of his children, grandchildren, great grand children, neices and nephews. Now approaching 90 years old, Percy is still full of life — fun-loving, wise, and spirited, with stories that stretch across generations and oceans. Whether he's cracking jokes at the bar, sharing wisdom from his youth, or dancing to a favorite calypso tune, Percy continues to embody the heart of Caribbean hospitality and resilience.
