Lo-Fi Vintage
Matt and I's favorite vintage shop! Lo-Fi is located in the middle of a cluster of vintage stores. This section of Westheimer Road also has some great restaurants/bars nearby.
Memorial Park
Where Matt proposed <3 This is a great park with lots of trails, a golf course, tennis courts, and other sporting facilities.
The Secret Group
Really great comedy and live music club located just outside of downtown. Check out their website for events and to buy tickets!
Xochi
Beautiful upscale restaurant that's great for Oaxaca-inspired dishes, cocktails, and wine. I would recommend making a reservation or calling ahead.
POST Houston
Old post office turned food court, music hall, office space with events and a rooftop garden! Plenty of paid parking, but also a quick Uber/Lyft ride since it’s downtown. Matt and Maddie have seen a ton of great artists play here along with eating some delicious food. The rooftop garden is free and absolutely stunning!
Common Bond Bistro & Bakery - Montrose
One of Matt and I's favorite coffee shops and lunch spots. The chocolate chip cookie is a non-negotiable.
The Pit Room
No notes. Absolutely some of the best BBQ we've ever had! Matt loves the brisket, pork ribs, sausage, elote, and mac n cheese. They also serve breakfast tacos from 7 AM - 10:30 AM seven days a week.
Barcelona Wine Bar
One of the best dinners Matt and I have had in Houston! I recommend getting a reservation. This is a tapas-style restaurant with great wine and cocktails.
Poison Girl
Very cool whiskey bar with pinball machines! There's a patio out back too.
