What if weather doesn’t work out? Where will the ceremony be held?

If weather doesn’t work out for us to have our ceremony outside, the ceremony will be held indoors at the Nature Center

What is the attire?

Nothing fancy, just business casual!

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

No, sorry, but alcohol is strictly prohibited on both premises.

Where can I park? (Ceremony)

Answer

When you arrive to Hayes Arboretum, you can park right by the Nature Center, and take a scenic 15 minute walk; or you can drive directly to the Woodland Chapel where the ceremony will be held.

How do I get to the Woodland Chapel? (Ceremony)

Answer

To the left of the Nature Center, there is a sign that says “Auto Tour” follow that sign until you see signs pointing in the direction of the chapel. You can walk or drive that way as there is parking once you reach it.

Where can I park? (Reception)

Answer

The Dwyer Community Center is on a one-way street, you can park across the street from the venue on the road, or there is a parking lot to your left immediately before the venue. There will be a sign saying that it’s the parking lot for the venue

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

Please do not take photos during the ceremony! We are going to have an unplugged ceremony, our photographer will take beautiful photos that we would love to share with you.

Should I bring anything?

Answer

Other than yourself, we recommend that you bring bug spray and maybe a paper fan. The bug spray is because the chapel is in a secluded wooded area. The paper fan is because you’ll be outside in the middle of August-it’s going to be hot.
