Question

What am I supposed to do during a Catholic ceremony?

Answer

Whether you've never attended a Mass or it's just been awhile, we have got you covered! Our programs will have all the music, responses, and movements (stand, sit, kneel) clearly noted. If you are unable or do not wish to kneel, you may sit instead. As the Mass is first and foremost a time of prayer, we insist that all cell phones be silenced and put away. If you are not Catholic, or are Catholic but are unable to receive communion for another reason, you may remain seated in the pews or may come forward with your arms crossed over your chest to receive a priestly blessing.

Question

What should I do between the Ceremony and Cocktail Hour?

Answer

Our Ceremony is expected to end around 3:15PM and the Cocktail Hour begins at 5PM. Guests can use this time to explore Pewaukee and Lake Country area, grab a drink at a local bar, check into their hotel rooms if they haven't already, or simply take a quick breather to refresh before a night of partying! Family members (grandparents, aunts & uncles, and cousins) should remain at St. Anthony's immediately following the Ceremony for 15-20 minutes of large group photos.

Question

What does Black-Tie Optional entail?

Answer

For men, a suit and tie; both traditional (dark) and creative colors are welcome. For ladies, a full-length gown, sophisticated cocktail dress, or dressy separates are appropriate. Please feel free to take off your jacket to avoid overheating or kick off your heels when joining the dance floor!
