Great question! We’re recommending black-tie-optional, which means you have the option to wear black-tie attire (an evening gown or a tuxedo) or wear formal attire (a suit or long dress). Options include full-length gowns, long dresses, dressy jumpsuits and pantsuits, tuxedos and suits. We can't wait to see everyone dressed to the nines!
Yes! While we won't be able to provide transportation for everyone, the drive is easy (about 20 minutes right down the freeway) and both venues have ample parking.

The options are endless, but here are some of our suggestions: The evening festivities will start with cocktail hour at 5:30PM at Childress Vineyards, though you are welcome to (1) explore the vineyard with a glass of wine beforehand and just let them know that you are wedding guests so they don't try and corral you out. (2) You can explore one of the many options on our "Things to Do" in Winston page, such as Reynolda Gardens or Old Salem (great photo opportunities while you're in your best dress!). (3) You can catch up with friends and family at one of the many cocktail bars or coffee shops in Winston (we recommend Bobby Boys- close to the church and serves both coffee and wine). (4) Or, you can simply spend the time relaxing and freshening up before a night of eating and dancing!
