We met at a camp in 2021. I (Penelope) came with the mindset of not being distracted by any boys. Michael came and after meeting me for the first time told himself he didn't need to like me but he already knew he did. Lauren, Michaels' sister, told us we should bond over how we eat healthy... secretly match making but she didn't need any help because truly the rest was history. We learned that we were the two people on staff who wanted to go on adventures the most. This started as a group activity but quickly turned into a two person occupation. Now, a two person occupation that will continue on forever.

Summer of 2023 Michael and I worked at camp. One week we celebrated a different holiday every night. On the fourth night we had a fancy camp café night. We were told the full staff had to help. After the dinner we started cleaning but Morgan (Michael's sister) said we should take pictures on the dock. I wasn't able to speak during this because I had a sneaking suspicion something significant was going to happen. Morgan got a text that we all had to go to canteen (the camp store) and on our way I saw a cute set up. Michael walked me over to the spot where we one time shook hands promising we would do whatever it takes to be together. He got down on one knee and said sweet things that we have both since forgotten. I obviously said yes and it was a dream come true.
