You can either contact the following driving service so you can arrange a pick-up or any other services you might need, or you can rent a car. We recommend Mex Rent Car, Alamo or Cactus.

Question

What do I need to travel to Mexico from the U.S.?

Answer

You will need a passport for international travel. If you don't have one or need to renew yours, we recommend you apply for your passport no later than October 31st, 2022. It usually takes 13-15 weeks to receive one but this could change due to processing limitations within Covid and a volume of people being able to travel. Question

I've never flown to Mexico

Answer

1. Prior to landing: Have forms complete, you should have your passport, a pen and your immigration forms filled out with the address of the hotel you'll be staying at. These forms will be passed out on the plane prior to landing. Keep the bottom of customs form on hand until you return home. DO NOT misplace it. 3. Luggage: Grab bags and feel free to pull out some pesos. Most places take US credit cards and US cash, but it never hurts to have some local currency. 4. Arrivals curb: Once you walk through bag screening there are TWO sliding doors. Go through either of them. Behind these doors you'll be greeted by several solicitors; no need to pay them any attention, just move past them and get through the second set of sliding doors. 5. Your Ride: Once you get through the sliders, you will see signs for rental car companies. You will either check in there for your car or have previously arranged with the hotel or transportation company for a pickup. We recommend Alamo for rental
