Saturday, September 12th, 2026 Ceremony: 3:00pm at St. Joseph Church of Blessed Michael McGivney Parish 129 Edwards St New Haven, CT 06511 Reception: 4:30pm - 9:30pm at Lighthouse Point Park Carousel Pavilion 2 Lighthouse Rd New Haven, CT 06512
Parking at St. Joseph Church is limited. Guests may need to use street parking nearby. We recommend arriving a little early to secure a spot and allow time to walk to the church if needed.
There is ample parking at Lighthouse Point! Please note: You DO NOT have to pay for parking! When you arrive at the guard shack, let the guard know you are here for the Pence-Root wedding at the carousel. They will wave you through and direct you to follow the fork in the road to the right until you reach the pavilion parking lot.
Ladies: Knee-length or midi dress Gentlemen: Dress pants and collared shirt; tie and blazer encouraged but optional Please note that the lighthouse pavilion does not have traditional air conditioning. With large open windows and cool ocean air, we expect a comfortable atmosphere, but we recommend light fabrics and layers.
A room block is reserved at Home2 Suites by Hilton East Haven/New Haven for September 11–12, 2026. Amenities include a kitchen in every room, free hot breakfast, and indoor pool. See the Travel page for booking link, discount code, and deadline.

Absolutely! Please let us know how many of your little ones we can expect on your RSVP.
Yes — please be aware that the restrooms at Lighthouse Point Park are located in the ranger building next door, just a short walk across a small grassy area. We recommend choosing footwear that’s comfortable on grass, as very high heels may sink into the ground. The pavilion and lighthouse sit right by the beach. You won’t need to walk on sand to reach any event spaces, but you may want to step onto the sand for a quick photo opportunity!
