We met at UCF's marching band camp freshman year. She played hard to get, going home almost every weekend rather than hanging out with the cool crowd. He then made it his mission to have her come to one event, a horror movie night! Reluctantly, she attended and we formed a great friendship over many months. Our friendship grew even more when we both participated in Relay For Life. From that moment on we knew we had something special!
From the groom... After 9 years, you kind of get to know a little bit about someone. Well did I ever, and have cherished every minute of it. Because of this, I knew the time was right to pop the question. But how was I going to pull this off?? Kara has a knack for knowing my thoughts before I even know them. After getting the traditional Italian blessing from her Mom and Dad, her sister Kimber, her brother Christopher, Nanni, and, and, and....I figured the perfect time would be during a preplanned 9 year anniversary getaway trip to the Ritz Carlton in Sarasota (one of Kara's favorite places). With all the preparations in place, we enjoyed an incredible weekend! Little did Kara know, I would ask her to marry me on the beach with our families watching from a hidden area. Upon the shock and awe of the proposal, she was doubly shocked to see our families together to celebrate the special occasion! She still says it was the best day ever!
