While they grew up only 20 minutes away from each other in California, it took both of them moving to Austin, Texas to eventually meet in March 2022. Hayley was temporarily staying in an Airbnb and fully planning to return home. But then her friend Michelle announced she was moving to Austin and casually asked, “Want to be roommates?” Hayley said yes… and officially became an Austin resident a few months later.
