Because of COVID-19 restrictions, we have limited our physical wedding to family and close friends. We will not be sending out formal invitations to everyone, so please RSVP to get access to the zoom link later on! Thank you!
So, how did we meet? We actually met online through a dating app called Hinge! Danielle had a coffee reference on her page and of course, Nick had to respond...and the rest was history! :)
Our first date, we met somewhere in the middle. Nick was living in Charleston and Danielle in Myrtle Beach, so a central place we met was in Georgetown, SC. It's a really small town with a little waterfront boardwalk with a few restaurants and a nice view. We had walked around and had dinner at a nice restaurant! Once we finished our dinner, Nick walked Danielle to her car and let her go. To this day, he beats himself up for not asking her to get a drink, but it ended up with a second date anyways!
They took a trip to California to visit the National Parks, Yosemite and Sequoia in early September. Danielle had a hunch that Nick was going to propose sometime during the trip, just not sure when. They backpacked into the backcountry of Yosemite for 2 nights. On the morning that they were headed down the mountain, they put their backpacks down and took a small path to look over Yosemite valley. WHAT. A. VIEW. After huffing and puffing our way up the mountain, this view made it worth it. They decided to eat lunch and enjoy the view for a bit. Nick went to go get our backpacks and when he came back, sat down next to Danielle. They were having casual sweet conversation when Nick then pulled out the ring and asked! It was perfect. Just the two of them, on top of the world! A memory cherished forever!
