Peliala had heard about Jason before he heard about her, but actually Jason and Peliala had spoke way before they actually acknowledged each other, but that’s really for later. The two officially met at a bar on Motown Monday, the night of December 7th, 2015. Pelaila had just returned from spending the summer and fall working on a farm and she was just settling back into the bay. Jason had recently stopped touring with bands and had spent the summer and fall going on long runs with his dog and day dreaming about possibilities. Neither of these two had any idea that they were actually their next moves. Jason and Pelaila hit the ground running on the dance floor that night and they never really seemed to slow down. A week after meeting, Peliala and Jason attended Jason’s holiday company party and a week after that they spent Christmas Eve together at the Coliseum for the last Raiders game of the year... where they also were having such a good time together that they walked all the way back to downtown Oakland. Whether it was a long walk through Oakland, backpacking in the wilderness, partying with strangers in strange places, or starting a gym together and competing in powerlifting competitions, Jason and Pela’s relationship is an on going adventure to be celebrated and they can’t wait to take this next step together.
