Peili and Jon initially matched online and began talking in Jan. 2022. Their first date was on her birthday where he gifted her seed packets of cynoglossum amabile, the Chinese forget-me-not, and a Marvel Groot planter. These were two thoughtful gifts for her as he learned she loves gardening and the Marvel Universe. They continued the date at Stryxe where he showed off his bowling and billiards skills. On that night he felt she was the ONE and believed that she fell in love, but she would deny it. On April 1st, about 2 months later, they officially established a relationship right before his 5K run in Asbury Park where she supported his efforts. Since then, they have been supporting each other in every aspect of their lives.
