Lake Placid Olympic Museum

Get a glimpse of the Olympic history of the region!

Mirror Lake Public Beach

Enjoy some time by the water! No motor boats allowed! This is also the start of the Lake Placid Ironman Race, in which racers do two laps around the lake.

East Branch Community Trails Parking Lot

Great trails for a short walk, hike or bike ride. These trails were designed and built by Luke with support from the community and BETA trails organization.

Mount Van Hoevenberg Olympic Bobsled Run

More Olympic History! There is a great 4 mile hike that includes rock work completed by Luke when the trail was rebuilt. You can find the 1932 Olympic bobsled run still nestled in the hillside. The sliding track was rebuilt for the 1980 Olympics and was designated a back up venue for sliding in the 2026 Winter Olympics. This venue also hosts all cross-country skiing races and biathlon. Jessie Diggins completed her career here this past winter!

Bartlett Road

Luke proposed on a bike ride navigating Bartlett Road! Sam and Luke are to get married on the cobble, a short private hike overlooking Keene and the Barkeater property.
