Our story began with a summer vacation to Orlando, Florida. Pedro was staying with his family while Anna was visiting Disney World with her best friend (who coincidentally was Pedro’s college roommate). Before long, Pedro and Anna’s paths crossed while exploring the craziness that is Florida and their relationship began to bud. Pedro distinctly remembers how cute he thought Anna was while the two of them celebrated his twenty-first birthday at Universal Studios. Their relationship continued to grow from acquaintances, to friends, and then eventually crushes. It was only after going to Las Vegas, did Pedro and Anna decide to gamble on their feelings for each other! Fast forward from those days in college now to present, and Pedro and Anna have grown so much closer and stronger. Now, Pedro and Anna live together in Queens with their fur baby, Bunny, and they could not be happier or more grateful for all of the blessings they have received. Currently, they are most excited to be able to share their love at their wedding with all of their closest friends and family.
Throughout their relationship, Pedro has always been BIG on theatrics. So naturally, this proposal was no exception! Pedro planned months in advance about popping the question on their dating anniversary of March 10 at Brooklyn Heights Promenade, a beautiful view that Anna and Pedro would frequently pass commuting to see each other between NY and NJ OVER 6 YEARS! Long story short, Pedro made elaborate plans to prepare the site with friends that entire day as Anna had to work, but as luck would have it, and to Pedro’s dismay, Anna decided she wasn’t going to work that day. And so, Pedro had to call off all his original plans and freestyle a new one. The new plan consisted of going to the same location only this time the excuse was to fly a drone Pedro had recently received. The idea was for Pedro to fly the drone overhead and then to overreact to something on the screen. Ideally, Anna would look at the screen displaying the drone’s view of Pedro getting on one knee to ask the most important question of his life. However, that was not the case. Pedro and Anna made it to the Promenade but it was a blistering, windy evening by the water. Pedro attempted to fly the drone but the wind was so strong, he lost control of it immediately after takeoff. The drone blew over the Hudson and almost smashed into some little kid’s room before getting stuck in a tree. To add insult to injury, the drone then fell out of the tree, through Pedro’s hands, and smashed on the frozen floor. It was then Pedro realized, the theatrics didn’t matter because despite all the craziness of the rogue drone and sub-zero temperatures, Anna was there for it all. So with the drone making weird noises on the ground and our friends hiding, wondering “what the hell was that?” Pedro got down on one knee and Anna made him the happiest man in the world!
