We're Getting Married!

So about 4 summers ago me and a couple of friends started a young adults bible study in our basement that ended up bringing around the girl of my dreams. Over the weeks many people ended up showing up, but despite the crowds, we always found a way to end up talking to each other before she would leave. As time went on we started hanging out more and more and eventually I ended up ‘tricking’ her to join me on a first date to the romantic Medport Diner. It turned out Medport was the perfect place to start winning her over and was the last first date I would ever go on with her. Since that night, I have had the privilege to become best friends and fall in love with the most incredible girl in the world. I could never pick out a better match than who the Lord chose for me in Carly. If you know her at all, you have had the privilege to know a girl who is full of love, compassion, joy, thoughtfulness, forgiveness, motivation, spontaneity, and humor. Getting to experience all of these characteristics and so much more firsthand over the last 2+ years has been the greatest blessing. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life alongside her and get to marry the perfect girl the Lord could have designed for me!

Summer 2019 Ry and I were spending lots of time together in the same friend group. By the end of the summer, my dad started getting suspicious of our relationship. One day he asked me, "Who is this Ryan guy you are always with, and does he have feelings for you?" I automatically denied any of these claims reminding my dad that Ryan does not think of me like that. Needless to say, I misread that situation, and that same week Ryan asked me out (oops). I was immediately drawn to Ryan's kind heart and gentle spirit. I admired his witty humor and loved the way he saw others. Our first couple of dates were filled with laughter and genuine conversation. Falling in love with Ryan was the most natural and wholesome experience. He is my best friend, biggest encourager, & love of my life. He provides for me, protects me, and leads me closer to Jesus each and every day. Getting to be his girlfriend was special, being his fiance is exciting, but getting to be his life partner is such an honor.
