Lucky for the happy couple, Jordan's best friend Madison decided to spend her birthday with some friends from water polo at a small house party and, later, swing dancing at the Peacock. Little did Jordan and Luke know, Madison had an idea that they just might hit it off. Luke describes the minute Jordan walked in as love at first sight, while Jordan was distracted by her usual distaste for parties. Later on that evening, however, Luke asked Jordan to dance. He took her hand, spun her on the dance floor, and it immediately felt like home. They saw each other nearly every day after they met and it wasn't long before they made it official. They have been inseparable ever since.

In early December, Luke decided he wanted to propose before the end of the year. He initially wanted to pop the question at the Oregon Garden's Christmas lights. His first attempt fell short when he became sick and it was a rainy week. The next opportunity started out sunny but then Jordan fell ill and weather again turned to rain. At that moment, Luke decided he was done waiting. When Jordan returned from work one night, he went to get everything prepared. He had the porch Christmas lights turned on, made dinner, had a fresh bouquet of flowers, and a candle lit on their porch table. When everything was ready he asked Jordan to get a nice jacket on (this may have tipped her off as to what may happen). He then went outside and got his phone set up to play "Nobody But You" by Blake Shelton ad Gwen Stefani while attempting to record the moment. (He became nervous and miscalculated the angle of the camera only catching their lower halves in the shot). The nerves continued as he was barely to his knee when he popped the question. Jordan quickly said yes and they embraced. Jordan jokes that she is now certain Luke loves her since he still wanted to propose while she was sick! Here's to forever!
