Jake brought his little brother, Daniel, as his show-and-tell in 3rd grade, Sam thought he was adorable (and still does) Jake and Sam were rivals in their 4th grade kickball tournament finals... Jake's class won Jake broke his elbow in 5th grade throwing a football to Sam In 7th grade, Sam sat through Jake's 5 HOUR Bar-Mitzvah service... true friendship Sam and Jake were in the “bad kids of the week” 8th grade group, probably because they thought it was cool to be class clowns Jamie (Sam's mom) would make extra PB & Fluff sandwiches in high school b/c Jake loved them Beer pong partners ALWAYS (*when a girl/boy team was mandated) Wine and movie nights during college holidays and summers Lunch dates (as friends) when we started our full time jobs in NYC Officially dating, and no one being surprised Taking on Covid at home with our families Our first apartment and our first child, Griffey …. And so so so much more in between…
Because our day-to-day is focused around Griffey (our dog), this day was no different. Saturday’s on Shelter Island usually consist of us playing fetch with Griffey on Shell Beach, one of our favorite places on on the island.
