Just days after dad passed away, Grant, Greg and I had a conversation just the three of us. Grant said to us "We still have to live our lives, Greg have kids, Laura get married and have kids". My response was "I agree, we will live our lives, but will you guys give me away at my wedding?" to which Grant said "at the rate you are going we would have had to walk you down the aisle anyway because dad would have been in a wheelchair by the time you get married" and from that day forward I have envisioned my wedding with my brothers on either side of me walking me down the aisle, all 3 of us with big smiles on our faces as mom and dad smile down on us.
