Adventures By the Sea
We have rented kayaks and bikes here together many times! Kayaking in the bay you can often see sea otters, seals, dolphins, and sometimes whales! Highly recommend
Old Fisherman's Wharf
We enjoy walking down Fisherman's Wharf when we are in Monterey. Jordan loves the famous clam chowder (he loves to order it in a sourdough bread bowl)! You can also get Monterey's salt water taffy here! Fun Fact: Multiple scenes from HBO's show Big Little Lies was filmed here!
Monterey Bay Whale Watch
Whale watching is a popular activity in Monterey and this is just one of the companies available to book with if you are interested!
Carmel-by-the-Sea
Explore downtown Carmel! Carmel offers wine tasting rooms, bakeries, coffee shops, the cutest candy cottage, and lots more!
Big Sur
Bir Sur is definitely more of a day trip distance from Monterey, but it is GORGEOUS. If you are planning to extend your trip or in town for a few days we highly recommend visiting! Garrapata State Park is not too far away from Carmel and beautiful.
Cannery Row
Cannery Row was the setting of John Steinbeck's novels Cannery Row (1945) and Sweet Thursday (1954). Today, Cannery Row itself is now a tourist attraction with many restaurants and hotels, several of which are located in former cannery buildings, and a few historic attractions.
Monterey Bay Aquarium
This is a very popular tourist destination in the area - it is impressive!
