Our Story 2010 to 2020

2010 to 2020

Kelsey and Zack met in the middle of a wheat field when they were both fifteen. This specific wheat field had a few buildings located on it and it was called Upper Columbia Academy (an Adventist boarding school). The two of them didn't interact a ton together over the course of their Sophomore year of high school, but by Junior year they were very close friends. Kelsey would laugh at Zack's jokes and then would in turn feed him jolly ranchers for a job well done. Over the course of Junior and Senior years, they would hang out in class, music practice period, gymnastics and during the evening rec. After Senior year had ended, the two of them went separate ways with Kelsey going to NIC and Zack going to TVCC (about six or seven hours away from each other). They never lost contact for very long however, and by the summer after their Freshman year of college they were talking daily. At this point, Zack was starting to have feelings for Kelsey, but at the time, they were not reciprocated. Sophomore year of college, Zack and Kelsey both moved to Walla Walla to go to the community college. They hung out quite often, and saw each other most of the time while they went to school together, but soon after, Kelsey moved away. The two of them lost contact for several years, but they did see each other about once a year, and each time, they wondered if their might be something between the two of them, but it never panned out. This brings us to 2020 with Kelsey living in Coeur d'Alene, ID and Zack living in Hood River, OR. In May of 2020, Zack posted a picture on instagram that would change both of their lives, even though Kelsey says that it was the ensuing message that did the real changing.

Our Story 2020 to Present

2020 to Present

Zack was home at his parents' house in Ontario, OR helping them pack and move to La Grande, OR. He decided to take one last picture of the house that his parents had lived at for close to ten years and post it to social media. Little did he know that the second he hit the post button, his life was going to change forever. Several hours later, he got a message from Kelsey asking him the details of the move, and where his parents were moving to. After several hours of messaging between the two of them, and catching up from several years prior, they said their good nights and Zack told Kelsey it was good hearing from her and that they should talk soon. Two days later the two were talking again and little by little, their conversations turned into a daily ritual. However, Kelsey had gotten out of a relationship fairly recently and was convinced that her and Zack would never find the right timing to be together and Zack was convinced that he would never find the right girl to settle down with and this had convinced him that he wasn't ready to settle down, which he decided to tell Kelsey. Zack would change his mind shortly afterward however after the two had been talking for several months as he realized that he could see Kelsey being the one that he could spend his whole life with. What ensued were several months of Zack pursuing a relationship with Kelsey and Kelsey turning him down multiple times. Eventually, Kelsey stopped turning Zack down and they started dating. Two months later they were engaged and four months after that they found out that Kelsey was pregnant with their first son, Tucker James Clark (Due February 24, 2022). While Kelsey and Zack spent limited time with each other in the last several years, they have made up for it in the last year and a half and their little family could not be more excited to see you all at their wedding!
