This restaurant has amazing food! If you haven't eaten here, we highly recommend. It's right off the river in downtown Gruene. You need to try their GIANT onion rings if you decide to go.
If you're looking for a cute and yummy breakfast, you have to try Krause's Cafe! It's a great atmosphere and service!
Gruene Hall is the oldest dance hall in Texas. Its stage has welcomed George Strait, Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett, Garth Brooks, and many (many!) other live entertainment icons. It has live music every single day, including some free shows on the weekdays.
If you're coming into town the day before the wedding and need a fun activity, Stars & Stripes Drive-In is a must.
If you do go here, try the trifecta to start (queso, guac, and roasted salsa) and go for the Gruene chicken enchiladas if you want a bit of Tex-Mex while you're in town. Their hand-cut steak is a great choice, too. This isn't a fancy restaurant, but they do a great job in their niche.
Gruene Antique Co. is one of the major attractions for antique lovers. You can also check out Black Swan Antiques and Traveling Gypsy!
If you're looking for something different and fun, there's a speakeasy in Gruene! It's really cute! Head to Gruene Grove and they'll direct you toward Goodwins, which is open 7 days a week starting at 7 pm. You can enjoy craft cocktails, bites, and live music.
This is one of the more unique things to do in Gruene. Stop by the adorable Gruene Olive Tasting Room to taste their olive oil and vinegar on tap. It's a great spot to get Christmas gifts also, since Christmas will be right around the corner.
This is such a cute little store! They have a classic soda fountain for a cream soda, the store is great for gift ideas, nostalgic candy, and the fun goodies!
Gruene has a day spa! We have not been here, but if you're looking for something to do that's more relaxing, they offer massages, facials, and waxing.
