Kelly and Jess met each other at Put-In-Bay (PIB) the summer of 2013 and have been partners in crime ever since. They quickly became besties and had one of the most wild summers working at The Keys on the bay, lot’s of vodka crans were drank that summer LOL!! Kelly and Jess knew they wanted to move somewhere new after working all summer long and landed in Charleston, SC. The most hilarious part is that they even convinced her older brother to quit his job and move down with them! Kelly is one of Jess’ best friends and is an all around incredible human being. Jess is so blessed to have such an amazing friend in her life and cannot picture a life without her in it!
Zach Webb
Best Man
Despite attending the same high school, Zach and Philip didn't really become friends until college, but after being roommates they are now friends for life. In college they spent many a night going to house parties, playing guitar hero, and finally succumbing to homework around 2am Sunday night. They also shared a love of grilling and BBQ in the back yard and once made the world's greatest fajitas, you'll have to take their word for it. Today Zach, Lindsay, Philip, and Jess live literally five doors away from each other and still like to raid the beer fridge on the weekends. Philip is happy to call Zach his best man.

Courtney has been one of Jess’ longest friends, dating back to middle school! One day on the bus, they decided to sit next to each other and the rest is history! Courtney is like a true sister to Jess. They have shared many ups and downs in life but were always standing by each other's sides. Jess cannot imagine a life without Courtney in it. One of Jess’ fondest memories of Courtney is when she came to Texas and they went to the Frio River! That was the first time Courtney learned how to 2-step by Philip but he might have accidentally elbowed her in the head! Whoops! She’s okay, we promise! We love Courtney for her genuine heart and protective nature!
Brandon Hines

Brandon and Philip met at an Austin tech networking event and soon became great friends, especially after he introduced Philip to Jess. Brandon, Heather, Philip, and Jess frequently hung out and went on grand adventures together. During the lockdown they were all "COVID buddies", playing board games and anything else to pass the time while stuck in their small apartments. Brandon and Philip still work together today as early employees of a startup that is now on the jersey of the San Antonio Spurs.

Jess and Kat first met their sophomore year of college in math class at Ohio University (OU OH YEA!) and quickly became besties! From becoming Jess' big sister in Sigma Kappa to living out their senior year together above the bricks of Athens, and countless of late nights of uncontrollable laughing, they have been inseparable ever since. We love Kat for her huge heart, adorable smile and innocent soul. Cactus loves Kitten!!

Ryan and Philip are close friends from high school and despite how much time passes between visits, they always pick up right where they left off, the sign of a true friend. Ryan and Philip shared a love of computers and online gaming, sometimes staying at the high school past midnight, the only place in Ozona with an internet connection that wasn't dialup. Hopefully people thought they were there studying.

Jess met Candice at OU and they were both a member of the club gymnastics team, the Gymcats! They instantly became a dynamic duo and even lived together for a summer in Athens! One day, Jess and Candice did not want to part ways so she thought it'd be a good idea to "bring your friend to work day" .. that day, Jess walked out with a job at the gymnastics gym! They even wrote a Gymcat chant that day #productiveday! She is one of the smartest people Jess knows and even is a doctor now, a pediatrician to be exact! GO CANDI! Little duck + goose = forever!
Quay Oglesby

Quay and Philip were good friends in high school and are actually now brothers-in-law, which is pretty hard to beat. They like to fry up turkeys together during Thanksgiving and hunt deer around Christmas. Philip and Quay share a love of the beautiful rivers in West Texas and still go on multiple trips every year. One time they crashed a canoe into a rock so hard it caved the front in and knocked them both out of their seats, so naturally they kicked the front back into place, drank a beer and kept going.

Jess met Heather her junior year of college at Ohio University at her first tryouts to be on the club gymnastics team! Who knew Heather would be such a pivotal piece to this puzzle! After they graduated, Jess found herself in ATX when Heather reached out about moving down. Jess was elated when it was decided that Heather and her fiancé Brandon would be moving down to Texas! A couple years later, Heather brings Jess to Brandon’s happy hour and well and behold, a tall handsome bearded man with a cowboy hat is standing there asking if Jess would like a beer! How could she say no?! The rest is history! We love Heather for bringing us together but we cherish the amazing friendship we have cultivated between us four over the years!
Wilson Stokes

Wilson and Philip are buddies from high school and have been on many road trips and river trips together. Philip is pretty certain Wilson is the one that showed him how to do the worm, so many weddings have him to thank. Willie is one of the nicest people Philip has ever known and always has a smile on his face.
Lindsay Webb

Jess met Lindsay through Zach, her husband and Philip's Best Man. What started out as just an acquaintance quickly turned into a true, genuine friendship. They since have bonded over their shared love of sushi (TOMO), wine from Willamette Valley and endless laughs on her back porch! Luckily, they only live within a 5 minute walk from each other so walking home after a glass .. (or bottles) of wine isn't an issue! ;) Lindsay has a huge heart and is def the mom in the group!
Chase Clark

Chase is a good friend of Philip's from high school and they've been on many adventures together. One time Chase dragged Philip up a set of rapids in a kayak due to a leg injury after wisely insisting on stitches since Philip was in denial and didn’t want to leave. Philip has always envied Chase's ability to sleep peacefully while being directly rained on at the river.
Jenny Casertano

Jenny and Jess also met when they were freshmen at OU (Bobkittens!!) and immediately became double trouble. They shared their love for their sand volleyball team, the Kitty Cats (meowww) and their fondness for frolicking around the bricks of Athens. Jenny always knows how to make Jess laugh with her hilarious stories, literally bringing Jess to tears for most of them. You can find Jess and Jenny sipping on some wine giggling away!

Jared hails from South Texas and met Philip through mutual friends of Zach. They share a love of floating cold rivers while drinking cold beer and have practiced said activities many times on the Frio. One time Jared stayed with Philip and Jess for three straight days because the party simply wasn't over.
Rachel Walsh

Rachel (aka Nappy) is another Bobcat alumn from Ohio University! Jess met Rachel her freshman year in their biology class and they instantly were attached at the hip. Thank gosh for Rachel because Jess would have never made it out of that class alive! Jess and Rachel have shared so many incredible experiences on the bricks of Athens and her time at OU would have not been the same without her. We love Rachel for her animal loving soul, especially for sea turtles, and her hilarious sense of humor!

His name is Steve and he likes boats, he has the t-shirt to prove it. Jess' brother has already become a good friend of Philip’s over the handful of fun trips they've adventured though. Philip is happy to call him his future brother-in-law.
Phillip Verheyden

Even though he spells his name wrong, Phillip and Philip have been great friends ever since Phillip poached Philip from his dead end job and showed him how to be a real software engineer. Despite many heated arguments regarding software development, the phrase "still friends" was proclaimed at the end of every discussion. When Jess and Philip took a quiet moment to think about who their officiant should be, they both came up with the same name, Phillip Verheyden. Phillip and Loren have been great friends to Philip and Jess and while he has to stand in a different spot for the wedding, Phillip is still a groomsman of Philip’s at heart.
