FAQs

Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers! We know weddings can come with a lot of details, so we’ve put together answers to some of the questions you might have. From parking and attire to gift ideas and timelines, here’s everything you need to know to enjoy our big day stress-free!
Question

What time should guests arrive?

Answer

We kindly ask you to plan to arrive about 20–30 minutes before the ceremony so everyone has time to park, find a seat, and get settled.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Yes! We have a child ourselves, and since our wedding is early in the day and many family members are coming from out of town, children are welcome. We do ask that if a child becomes upset or starts crying during the ceremony, they be taken out of the space so everyone can enjoy the moment.

Question

Is there a dress code or theme?

Answer

Since we’re having a brunch wedding, we’re going for a relaxed but polished look. For the men, we kindly ask that you avoid jeans—khakis or slacks with a button-down or similar attire would be great. For the women, typical wedding guest attire is perfect. Dresses are preferred, but nothing formal is required. Please avoid jeans. Overall, think nice, comfortable brunch-appropriate wedding attire.

Question

Is there a bar? Can we request special drinks or a signature cocktail?

Answer

Yes! We’ll have a mimosa bar along with two signature cocktails available for guests to enjoy. These will be the drink options during the celebration, so feel free to pick your favorite and enjoy!

Question

Is there a seating chart, or is it open seating?

Answer

We’ll have open seating, so please feel free to sit wherever you’re comfortable! We’re not doing a head table, so our wedding party will also be sitting among the guests.

Question

Is parking available on-site?

Answer

Yes! The Abernethy has three different parking lots on-site for guests to use. There will also be signage directing you to both the ceremony and reception locations once you arrive.
