Question

What should I wear?

Answer

This is a formal wedding, but not black tie! Floor-length dresses, suit jackets, and slacks will be perfect! Please wear fall-appropriate colors: no summer colors or loud prints. The Ceremony is planned to take place outside, with an indoor reception to follow. This is the first day of October, so please pay attention to the weather and plan accordingly!

Question

When do I need to RSVP By?

Answer

An exact date will be provided with the invitations. Please RSVP or decline as soon as you know. Thank you!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Our guest list was specifically hand-picked. If your partner was not listed on the invitation, unfortunately, they will not be able to join us. If you have any questions, please reach out to Shellie, Tyfani, or Charvey.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

If your child is not listed on your invite, then they will not be able to join us. If you have any questions, please reach out to Shellie, Tyfani, or Charvey.

Question

How far is the Ceremony from the Reception?

Answer

The Ceremony is on top of a small hill next to the reception. There will be trams to assist anyone who needs them!

Question

Can I take pictures at the Ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony! We want everyone to be present with us in the moment. There will be an opportunity to take pictures while the bride and groom are standing at the altar. Phones will not be allowed otherwise.

Question

Shuttle?

Answer

There will be a shuttle to the hotels we have blocks at.

Question

Can I park at the Venue?

Answer

The venue has parking reserved for those who are not staying the night. Please plan to take a shuttle or ride share. Then you can PARTY!!! If you are driving home afterwards, please party responsibly and drive safely.

Question

What do I do with the rest of my weekend?

Answer

We chose a Thursday wedding so everyone who has to travel can enjoy a long weekend! Please spend time with friends and family or go sightseeing! Chicago is only a 1.5-hour drive and has lots to offer for tourists! Check out our Things to do page for options near the venue!
