David proposed August 19, 2023 at their spot, where he asked Payton to stand by the river so he could take her picture. Payton knew David always took the worst photos, and after many minutes of bargaining and pleading, she reluctantly agreed. In protest, Payton decided to have fun with it and started hitting random poses. Instead of taking her picture, David started a video, and, as Payton was hitting her signature ‘finger gun’ pose, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
