How it started

For me, it was the first kiss

I will never forget the first time I saw a picture of him, before Snapchat had bitmoji, we had 3 pictures slideshows next to the username so people could see who you are. I saw Caleb's picture in my suggested friends and I immediately added him and sent him a message, "Hey, I think you're cute." A few minutes later, he added me back and replied, "I think you're cute too." We haven't stopped talking since. After months of talking online and both insisting we weren't dating and were not planning to (what BS), I finally wanted to meet in person. You could say Caleb was a bit nervous to meet me, he practically ran out of my house like he couldn't get away from me fast enough, I thought it was over. The next time, we tried to make it more comfortable by hanging out with his friends, and this time we couldn't get enough of each other. I realized just how shy Caleb really was, and I was determined to get through that wall. His friends drove me home that night, and I remember deciding "I AM GOING TO KISS HIM" before we even got there. I got out on one side and he got out on the other side to hug me. I will never forget the scene, because it felt so surreal like something out of a movie scene. It was completely dark outside, except for where we stood underneath a single streetlight, in the center of the street. We went in to hug each other, and I started hyping myself up in my head, "Come on! Do it! DO IT!! If you don't, he's not going to, KISS HIM!!!" and when I started to pull back, without another thought, I went for it! Maybe if I had went in a little slower, I may have noticed that Caleb was hyping himself up to kiss me too, but I was too fast for him. Within a millisecond, our faces hit, BAM! And we both grab our noses, look at each other, and bust out laughing. We stood there, laughing, for a good while before we finally, and calmly, had our very first kiss. I would love to say that's the moment I knew he was the one, but really our entire relationship has been one moment after another of me realizing, it's always been him. Since I was 16 years old, it's always been him. It could never be anyone else.
