We met in college while we were both in the wrestling program, and if we’re being honest, neither of us thought we would end up here. At first, we didn’t even really like each other, but somehow life kept putting us around one another. Over time, we started talking more and more, and before long we were inseparable. What started as a friendship quickly turned into something so much bigger, and we soon started dating without realizing we were beginning our forever story together. For four years, we did long distance while we were both away at college. It wasn’t always easy being hours apart, balancing school, sports, and life, but no amount of distance ever changed how we felt about each other. We both made countless 5-hour drives just to spend a weekend together, knowing every second was worth it. Whether it was late-night phone calls, random visits, or counting down the days until we could see each other again, we always found a way to make it work. No matter how stressful life got, we were always each other’s safe place. Along the way, we also built a little family together by adopting our two dogs, Harley and Bo, who quickly became such a huge part of our lives. Even through the distance, having them made everything feel a little more like home and gave us something to build together while we worked toward our future. Somewhere between all the miles, the FaceTimes, the long drives, the dogs, and the years apart, we became not only best friends but each other’s forever person. We grew up together through every stage of life and learned how to love each other even from a distance. Now after everything we’ve been through together, we can’t wait to finally be married and start this next chapter of our lives together. We’re so excited to create a home together in our house, fill it with love, memories, and laughter, and continue building the life we’ve always dreamed of. Most of all, we can’t wait to celebrate our wedding surrounded by all of the people we love most and share such a special moment with everyone who has supported us along the way.
