Flight
We’re so excited to have you join us in beautiful Santorini for our wedding! Here’s some helpful information to make your travel as smooth as possible: Airport: The main airport is Santorini (Thira) International Airport (JTR), which serves both domestic and international flights. Direct Flights: Santorini is well-connected to major cities in Europe and Greece. Many airlines offer direct flights to the island, especially during peak tourist seasons. Connecting Flights: If you're flying from the U.S. or other international destinations, you may need to connect through Athens or another major European hub (like London or Rome). From Athens, there are frequent domestic flights to Santorini. Transportation: Once you arrive at JTR, you can easily find taxis, buses, or private transfers to your accommodation. We’ll share a few hotel recommendations if you’d like some options! If you have any additional questions, we're just a text or call away!

Direct Flights from the United States to Athens: If you’re flying directly from the United States, Athens Airport (ATH) is an excellent gateway to start your journey to Santorini. Athens itself is a wonderful destination, full of rich history and culture, and we recommend spending a few days exploring the city before heading to the island. Getting to Santorini: Once you’re ready to head to Santorini, it’s easy to reach the Piraeus Ferry Port from Athens Airport. You can take the metro (about 25 minutes) or a taxi (roughly 35 minutes) to the port. Most ferries to Santorini depart in the morning, but schedules can vary, so be sure to check the website for the latest information and to book your tickets. High-Speed Ferry: The journey takes about 5 hours. Conventional Ferry: This ferry takes around 8 hours. We can’t wait to see you in Santorini!
