"Justin and I had tons of mutual friends in college, so we were around each other sometimes and met very organically. One night, we were at an intramural football game with my sorority and his fraternity. I made a comment I was cold, and next thing I knew, Justin walked up with arms full of blankets he had grabbed from his car. I remember thinking 'this dude is straight out of a movie'... three days later we wore a matching couples costume to a Halloween party. That night, I told my friends 'I'm going to marry that guy one day' and here we are!" -Payton

Justin had been planning a special date night for weeks. Payton suspected something was up, but thought maybe he would propose in Indianapolis at the date. When she got home, Justin casually told her that their fur baby, Winston had a new dog tag. When Payton went to look at it, it was an engagement ring on his neck in place of a tag. Justin was on one knee behind her and asked her to marry him. Tears were shed by Payton and faces were licked by Winston and the rest was history.
