As many of you know, we went to middle and high school together in Apache after Bailey transferred from Elgin, but we never really spent anytime together in the same friend group. It wasn’t until I was a sophomore and Bailey was a freshman that we really created a friendship of sorts. It was a late night bus ride home from a regional basketball tournament in 2014. Bailey and I had hit it off, but our real story didn’t begin until September of the same year. After a month of getting to know eachother, on October 10th, 2014, Bailey asked me to be his girlfriend for the very first time. We dated for 2 years after that and sadly broke up my first semester of college, but you know what they say, if it’s meant to be it will be. So in late 2017, we rekindled our friendship and in early 2018 we rekindled our relationship. We moved in together in the Summer of 2018, got engaged Memorial Day weekend of 2019, and now we are planning our wedding that will be held on the 6th year anniversary of when he first asked me to be his girlfriend! We are so thankful for everyone who has been on this journey with us over the last 5 years and can’t wait to celebrate the day we become husband and wife with all of you on October 10th, 2020!
Bailey proposed on May 25th, 2019 in Medicine Park, Oklahoma. I was under the impression that we, along with our parents, were going to be going to the music festival held in Medicine Park every Memorial Day weekend and enjoying the music and a few drinks. It was crazy hot that day as it was the beginning of the Summer. We arrived and we were waiting on Bailey’s dad to show up so that we could go eat. Once his dad shows up, our moms start mentioning how we should recreate a photo from my Senior year prom. It was a photo next to a tree stump that looked like it had a heart cut out of it, but when we got there the stump was completely gone. Our parents were still determined to get us to recreate the picture in the same spot. As I stood where the stump once was, I was waiting on Bailey to join me but then someone told me to turn around. There he was, the person I knew I wanted to marry since I was 16 years old, down on one knee. He was asking me to marry him. Finally, we were engaged!
Please take some time to browse around our wedding website! We have a page of FAQ’s if you’re having any questions, a page of photos of the bride and groom, a page to let you know who will be standing beside us on our special day, and a page that includes hotel information for our traveling guests!
