For those of you staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, or just passing by! No explanation needed - the old port is filled with food, shops, & much more while being right by the water. We HIGHLY recommend this area vs South Portland. Please be advised that most restaurants in this area require reservations well in advance. The link is a general trip advisor page, but we have some more recs below
Our venue sits on an expansive property known as “LongWoods Preserve”. Currently there are 30 sculptures throughout the 54 acres from 23 different artists; we encourage everyone to check them out. There are a couple right near the building as well as along the various trails
Worth a visit if you haven't been already
Usually not crazy busy, grassy hill that faces the water. Perfect place for a picnic
Flagship complex, don’t forget to take a picture in the fish bubble!
This is a little out of the way (there are also several other locations) but if you are feeling frisky, this is a MUST. Without further explanation, this is OUR spot & will forever be our favorite ice cream. Emma's Order: Single PB Cup in a dish with rainbow sprinkles. Sean's Order: Major Vanilla Wind-up with Cookie Dough. Cash only, drive thru option
Best sushi EVER - this is where Sean started to like sushi
Our favorite cake is the checkerboard torte, this is our wedding cake :) Also recommend carrot cake cupcake. (There are also food options - sandwiches, salads, soups)
We recommend The Early Riser & the Summer Bowl
Recommend Jay's Heart
Multiple locations. The famous potato maine donuts :)
SPECIFICALLY salted sourdough bagel w/ garlic chive cream cheese (honestly best bagel we have ever had). Only open Mon-Sat, get there early to get a bagel (limited supply)
Fun drinks & tapas
Our 2nd official date (our first date was the night before). Does not take reservations but fairly quick (also inexpensive) & worth the wait. Along the main strip of the Old Port on Commerical
Prefer this over Gelato Fiasco, it is more authentic
Multiple locations (i.e. Yarmouth) - a fun "market" store with daily sandwiches on focaccia (they go quick!)
Best BLT ever (no tomato pesto spread)
Outside, younger crowd, can get very busy. Seafood pretty good. A classic "Maine" experience
Grilled Cheese. Nuff said
Specifically the Yarmouth location - breadsticks w/ cheese, pep pizza, or chicken fingers (BEST HOMEMADE HONEY MUSTARD EVER)
or the Yarmouth location. If you are feeling a little spicy, first ride free (use code RIDEJIBE)
