For those of you who don't know our story, we met our freshman year of high school in science class. On day one of our freshman year Amanda turned around to the desk behind her and asked the boy sitting there "who are you?!" She then grabbed his agenda book and started flipping furiously through the pages and they were all empty...not a single friend name or phone number. She looked at him and blurted out, "you don't have any friends! That's ok, I'll be your friend!" and wrote her name and phone number on his agenda and so began a 30 year friendship. Luckily, Matt didn't hold it against her when she dumped him for senior prom to go with someone else. Oops! We remained close friends and kept in touch through high school, college, first marriages, kids, living in different states, and through all of the good, tough, and in between times. Who knew that a random friendly lunch would eventually lead to us falling in love and getting married a few years later. If you'd have asked high school us about the possibility, Amanda would have said "Eww gross! We're just friends!" and Matt would have said "Well, she dumped me for prom, so..." And now, here we are, getting married! We can't wait to celebrate with all of you!
