Folegandros is a charming, small, and authentic Greek island in the Aegean Sea, known for its untouched beauty and stunning landscapes. The island's main villages include Chora, a car-free village with narrow cobblestone streets, where our wedding celebration will take place in the lively central square. Ano Meria, a traditional farming village, offers a glimpse into the island’s rural life, while Karavostasis, the island's port, is home to picturesque seaside tavernas and serene beaches. Folegandros is characterized by its iconic whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches, and breathtaking sunsets, especially from the Church of Panagia, where our wedding ceremony will be held. The island also boasts quiet, crystal-clear beaches, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the natural beauty of the Aegean.

To reach Folegandros, you’ll need to combine a flight and a ferry, as the island doesn’t have its own airport. Once in Athens, you can take a ferry from Piraeus Port to Folegandros. There are two ferry options: high-speed ferries, which take about 3.5–4 hours, and regular ferries, which take 6–7 hours. It's recommended to book ferry tickets early, especially for travel in September. Popular ferry operators include Seajets and Blue Star Ferries. Alternatively, you can fly to Santorini, just a 40-minute flight from Athens, and then take a ferry from Santorini to Folegandros. Ferries from Santorini take around 2 hours, and there are daily connections. If you choose this route, it’s a good idea to book your ferry tickets around May, as schedules for the following year are usually not available until then. Additionally, there are frequent ferry connections to Folegandros from other nearby islands, such as Mykonos and Paros.
