Andrew and Rachel love it when people ask how they met and quickly respond with, "We met at church!" Andrew began attending Trinity Presbyterian Church in Charlottesville almost three years ago and met Rachel soon after she moved to Charlottesville in the fall of 2023. After a few months of getting to know each other through events with their young adult community, Andrew asked Rachel on a coffee date in January. The two now joke that they knew the other was "the one" by the end of their second date, after bonding over a mutual appreciation for the same budgeting software (YNAB) and use of the same Bible reading plan (The Daily Prayer Project). But most importantly, both were drawn to the deeply evident, saving work of Jesus Christ in the life of the other and the outflowing of the gospel impacting each other's everyday lives. Andrew and Rachel spent the spring and summer painting the town of Charlottesville with memories, including attending local concerts, coworking at coffee shops, paddleboarding, and spending time with their families and church community. Andrew proposed to Rachel on July 19th, and Rachel joyfully said yes! We can't wait to celebrate with you at our wedding in January, as we look forward to the picture of God's love for His church through the institution of marriage.
