FAQs

If you have any other questions that are not listed, don't hesitate to get in touch with the mother of the bride, Ronda Birckhead (301) 213-0806
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please kindly RSVP by June 18, 2026. Unfortunately, we will be unable to accommodate guests who have not responded by this date.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly recommend arriving at the parking garage by 3:30 p.m. to allow ample time to take the shuttle to the William Paca House. Please plan to arrive at the venue by 3:50 p.m., as the doors will open for guests at 4:00 p.m. We ask that everyone be seated promptly, as the ceremony is scheduled to begin at 4:20 p.m.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is formal black tie with a garden or floral-inspired twist. We encourage floor-length dresses for the ladies and invite guests to have fun with statement shoes and accessories. While the attire is black tie, this does not mean attire must be black—please don’t hesitate to incorporate color and floral patterns into your look. We kindly request that guests refrain from wearing white.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited capacity at the venue, we are only able to accommodate the guests formally listed on your wedding invitation. If you have been given a plus-one, their name will appear on the invitation. We sincerely appreciate your understanding. That said, all are warmly welcome to join us for the after-party beginning at 9:00 p.m.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we have decided to make our wedding and reception a 21+ event. The only exceptions will be our ring bearer and flower girl. We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us create an enjoyable celebration for all.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We kindly ask that you join us in having an unplugged ceremony, meaning no phones or cameras. We would love for you to be fully present with us as we say "I do". We have hired professional photographers to capture these special moments and look forward to sharing the photos with you as soon as we receive them. Following the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you’d like!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Public parking is not available at any Historic Annapolis sites. The closest parking options to the venue are the Hillman Garage, Gotts Court Garage, and Calvert Street Garage. Shuttle transportation will be provided to the venue for your convenience. If you plan to attend the after-party, we recommend staying nearby or utilizing rideshare services such as Uber or Lyft to ensure a safe and easy return to your accommodations.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

As the Naval Academy football season begins the same weekend as our wedding, we strongly encourage guests to book flights and secure accommodations—such as hotels or Airbnbs—as early as possible. This will help ensure availability and the best possible rates. For detailed recommendations, please refer to the Travel tab on our website.

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. The reception will also be held outside, under a covered area. We kindly encourage guests to consider the weather and dress accordingly for outdoor conditions.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be sincerely missed. If you are unable to attend, please kindly indicate your regrets through the RSVP tab so that we may plan accordingly.
