November 24, 2015- Bhavika walked into Spencer Savings Bank for a job interview. As she walked in she saw Pawel and right at that moment they locked eyes. After applying to 10 different jobs and taking 5 job interviews, Bhavika landed a job at Spencers Savings Bank immediately. What are the odds? Pawel and Bhavika both felt sparks from day 1 and both resisted to make the first move as they wanted to remain professional at work especially since Pawel was Bhavika’s supervisor. However, whenever they were near each other, they both felt butterflies. Six months later, Pawel was flying to Poland for a family wedding. Pawel felt as if something was missing and was not able to get Bhavika off his mind. He decided to send Bhavika a text message. Two weeks straight, Pawel and Bhavika exchanged messages. They spoke for hours and hours late into the night. This trip made them both realize how much they missed being around each other and what their presence truly meant for one another. June 30, 2016, Pawel was flying back home from Poland. As soon as he landed at 11:30PM that night, he asked Bhavika if she would like to join him for a smoothie run at WAWA. Who drinks a smoothie at 11:30PM? ;) Bhavika was excited to see Pawel after 2 weeks and took the ride with him. We sat at the WAWA parking lot sharing a smoothie and chatting for a hour. Hearts were racing and we knew at the moment what we both wanted. Here we are 7 years later ready to start the next chapter of our lives together.

It was February 19, 2023 and like every Sunday the plan was to go to WholeFoods. Bhavika was dressed in jeans and a simple blue sweater. As Pawel was driving, Bhavika realized the route he was taking seemed a bit unusual. We arrived at the “Overpeck Park” in Teaneck, NJ. The park that Pawel and Bhavika enjoyed taking long walks in hand in hand. Pawel handed over Bhavika a white dress to change into. Bhavika’s heart was racing faster than ever and knew at that moment that the big day was finally here. Approaching the beautifully decorated gazebo full of balloons, flowers, candles and the presence of close family and friends, Pawel popped the million dollar question- “WILL YOU MARRY ME” and ofcourse Bhavika said YES!
