Travel Note

Tiempo de Traslado/Travel Time

Recomendamos que para cualquier traslado que hagan en la Ciudad de México, consideren que los viernes por la tarde hay un exceso de tráfico. Por lo tanto, sugerimos que tomen sus precauciones y salgan con mucho tiempo de anticipación. We recommend that for any transportation within Mexico City, you take into consideration that traffic is particularly heavy on Friday afternoons. We kindly reccomend allowing extra travel time.

Flight

Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juarez (MEX)

We highly recommend arriving to this airport instead of arriving to Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA).

Getting Around

Getting around Mexico City is simple with rideshare apps. Uber is widely used and very reliable.

Travel Note

Transport: Leaving the Airport

For leaving the airport, we recommend taking a taxi to your hotel. Ubers are not allowed at the airport. When you exit the baggage claim area, you will see booths selling tickets for "Taxi Seguro" inside the airport. This is where you can purchase a taxi ticket. Fares are fixed and based on which zone of the city you are traveling to. Once you purchase your taxi ticket, an attendant will direct you to a taxi queue where you'll wait in line with other travelers until a car becomes available.

Mischellaneous Travel Advice

Visas/Passports: There is no Visa requirement for U.S Citizens to enter Mexico for tourism. Just make sure your passport is valid for the duration of your stay. Water Safety: Please don't drink the tap water in Mexico. We recommend sticking to bottled water, including for brushing your teeth. Cash & Currency: Many places accept credit cards, but it's a good idea to carry Mexican pesos for tips, taxis, or small vendors.
