Our story began with one simple swipe right! What started as an online connection quickly turned into our first date at a local Zippy’s restaurant, where we discovered our shared love for Hawaiian food. From that very first conversation, it felt easy — as if we had already known each other for years. As we spent more time together, we quickly realized how much we had in common. Music, education, sightseeing, and serving others became the foundation of our growing relationship. Surprisingly, we also discovered that we both worked within a part of the college bridge programs connected to helping students transition from high school into college within our institutions. Coming from humble beginnings ourselves, we found purpose in uplifting and guiding others through education, and that shared passion brought us even closer together. During Pauline’s final semester of completing her doctoral degree, life brought many unexpected challenges and difficult moments. Through it all, Andrew remained steadfast — showing love, patience, and unwavering support when it mattered most. Those moments strengthened our relationship and reminded us that true love stands firm through every season. As educators, we found comfort in understanding each other’s perspectives, responsibilities, and dreams. The more we learned about one another, the more we realized that God had been aligning our paths long before we met. After seven months together, Andrew proposed on one of the windiest days at one of our favorite walking and hiking spots with the view of the whole city at the top of Exploration Peak in Enterprise, Las Vegas. It was simple, beautiful, and perfectly us. Most importantly, our relationship has helped us grow closer to God. Together, we desire to continue walking in faith, harmony, and love as we begin this next chapter side by side.
